Finding the right frame size ensures your glasses fit comfortably and look great. You can use your current pair of glasses or a ruler (in millimeters) to measure.
Most eyeglass frames have three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm, for example:
52 ▢ 18 140
Here’s what those numbers mean 👇
Measurement Description Typical Range
1. Lens Width (52) The horizontal width of one lens, measured at its widest point. 48–58 mm
2. Bridge Width (18) The distance between the two lenses (the part that rests on your nose). 14–24 mm
3. Temple Length (140) The length of the side arms from the frame front to the tip behind your ear. 135–150 mm
🪞 How to Measure at Home
If you don’t have numbers printed inside your glasses:
1. Lens Width: Measure horizontally across one lens at the widest point.
2. Bridge Width: Measure the space between the lenses over your nose bridge.
3. Temple Length: Measure from the hinge to the end of the arm (the part that goes behind your ear).
💡 Tip: A difference of 1–2 mm from your current pair is usually fine — frame flexibility allows a little variation.
